VOLUNTEER PROJECT - WHAT & WHY
Don't miss this unique opportunity to get outdoors and garden while at the same time providing food for those in need. This project is one of several where we'll be planting vegetable gardens in Denver City Parks, with all produce being donated to local organizations including local food banks, homeless shelters, and families in need. We'll return to Civic Center Park for a second year to grow a vegetable garden. Volunteer work will be fun, easy, and child-friendly. Tasks will involve preparing the garden beds, weeding, working the soil, and planting vegetable seeds and seedlings.
