Summary: Members of Upper Arkansas Wilderness Volunteers will provide a presence in the Wilderness by hiking the trails and share information with visitors as they request it, or as necessary for the protection and preservation of the Wilderness. Volunteers will provide information to the Forest Service about trail conditions and visitor contacts. They may perform light trail maintenance within the volunteers' level of comfort and training, including brush clearing, limbing, clearing trees from the trail, and light tread work.
