Summary: San Luis Valley YCC removal of tree shelters to help with the rehab of the Million Burn Area.
Description:
Plastic shelters were placed around seedlings that were planted to help with the rehabilitation of the Million Burn of 2002. The trees have out grown the shelters and they are now inhibiting growth. 5 local youth and one adult leader from the SLV YCC pulled up hundreds of these shelters.
