Start Date-End Date: 05/31/2012-09/30/2012 Land Manager Office: Land Manager Contact: Funding Partner: Programmatic Partner: Summary: Provide facility maintenance and visitor services at this small BLM campground. Description: The campground host spends weekends and holidays at the campground during the summer season - approximately mid-May through the end of September. Host contacts visitors to ensure they are aware of campground regulations, fees and general information. Host performs basic campground maintenance, including: restroom cleaning; trash clean-up (no trash collection service is provided and visitors are required to pack out their trash); fire pit cleaning; sign installation, repair and maintenance; fence repair and maintenance; and basic water system maintenance. A concrete R.V. pad, water and black water tank are available at the host campsite. No traditional electrical hook-ups are available, but a portable solar unit is available to provide electric power. A stipend is provided for propane and cell phone service.
