Be one of the first to experience the beauty of this area not yet open for public access. VOLUNTEER PROJECT - WHAT & WHY Join VOC as we return to the south slope of Pikes Peak for a second year of new trail construction. This is a unique opportunity to work on property that has yet to be open to the public, and a chance to mold the experiences of future hikers, bicyclists and nature lovers. The new trial we'll be working on will eventually be 5 miles long, allowing hikers to capture the views of two reservoirs that have been closed to the public for the past 100 years.Volunteer work will range from basic trail construction to more complicated trail sections with extreme back slopes.
