Description of Work Completed:
As part of the Regis Jesuit Day for Others on Saturday, September 8th about 35 volunteers came out to Chatfield State Park to give back to Colorado’s natural resources by doing a mass eradication of invasive species near the swim beach. Volunteers worked together to uproot invasive species such as mullein, Dalmatian toadflax, diffuse knapweed, and thistle. The before/after pictures show a huge improvement on this piece of land, and their hard work will support the life of our native plants and wildlife. Goddard Middle School will help finish the project on September 17th on this particular piece of land.
