Description:
Recreation Custodian - The primaryresponsibility of the Recreation Custodian is to provide assistance and ensure a positive experience for visitors. Duties include but are not limited to litter control, sign posting, dispersed campsite cleaning and rehabilitation, latrine cleaning and minor maintenance,reporting Forest Service regulation and safety violations, vandalism, facilities and signage repair needs and provide visitor information services.
The volunteer will be asked to work approximately 2 times each week with aditional days on occasion and duting peak season.A government vehicle will be provided to accomplish assigned work, some training required.A complimentary RV trailer pad, with full hook-ups, for the duration of the summer will be provided to all volunteers. Lodging in a Forest Service bunk house is also available at several locations. The preferred term of service will be fromMay 20thuntil Labor Day, preference will be given to those who can commit to the entire season.
