This SMT Shin-dig was an opportunity for the members of the SMT organization to show the US Forest Service that they could operate independently on Forest Service Lands. Land agency representatives were on site to monitor and support the project throughout the day. Some improvements regarding safety discussion, and crew leadership skills will need to be improved before next months shin-dig.
Description of Work Completed:
Volunteers constructed approximately 500 feet of new trail and improved 500 feet of existing trail.
