Description: On Saturday June 8th volunteers with the Salida Mountain Trails non-profit organization will work with the U.S.F.S.-Salida Ranger District to construct new trail on the Columbine Trail. Land agency representatives were on site to monitor and support the project throughout the day. Some improvements regarding safety discussion, and crew leadership skills will need to be improved before next months shin-dig. Description of Work Completed: Volunteers constructed approximately 500 feet of new trail and improved 500 feet of existing trail.
