No injuries that I was made aware of, and the agency reps were awestruck as usual! - Mick Syzek (Program Team) Description of Accidents/Incidents: Description of Work Completed: VOC's very first project back in 1984 was at Lory State Park. Since then, VOC volunteers have completed critical stewardship work in half of Colorado's 44 State Parks, building sustainable trails, restoring plant and wildlife habitats, building viewing platforms, eradicating invasive weeds, and much, much more. 27 volunteers participated on this VOC 30th anniversary project, and worked together to restore the Overlook Trail at scenic Lory State Park on June 8 and 9. Volunteers worked hard to build a rock retaining wall, rock steps, restore firebreak scars from the Galena Court Fire that broke out earlier this year. Volunteers also helped with drainage and corridor maintenance on the existing trail. Click here to learn more about VOC volunteer opportunities: www.voc.org/projects
