Description of Accidents/Incidents: None. Description of Work Completed: On March20, 36 students (5th & 6th graders) and 11 adults from the Ricks Center for Gifted Children through the University of Denver joined the City of Greenwood Village and VOC for a day of planting and seeding at the Marjorie Perry Nature Preserve. Students enjoyed the sunshine and warm weather, and also enjoyed planting 30 raspberry and thimbleberry bushes in some muddy soil, and then wrapped up the day raking and seeding almost 2 acres. Their work will bring new birds and wildlife to the area, and enhanced the habitat for those who already call the preserve home. 30 Raspberry and/or Thimble Berry Bushes Planted Patches of weed removal sites were seeded with native grasses (raked, seeded, raked).
