Summary: 26 5th-7th graders from the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union Summer Camp will participate in a half day SWAT the the Urban Farm in Stapleton. 8 high school counselors, and 3 staff will also be assisting in leading these youth in the execution of this fun project! The students will be helping maintain animal stalls and help prepare community garden spaces.

34 Youth, 8 of them high school aged camp counselors, from the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union Camp arrived from Bailey, CO to The Urban Farm in Stapleton to help maintain animal stalls, plant seedlings, and prepare a raised garden bed. Overall, volunteers from the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union Camp helped plant and prepare over 1,500 square feet of garden space, and mucked 3 horse stalls - totally 185 hours of volunteer service in one morning. Their hard work helps the Urban Farm continue to provide outstanding, low-cost, programming in urban agriculture and equine education.
