Stewardship Education: Students were treated to a great opening presentation for the day from interpretative park volunteers about the history of the area. They also got to tour the Perrse Place homestead.

Description of Accidents/Incidents: A few knicks a scrathces, plus itchy kids from mullien pulling.
Description of Work Completed: Volunteers from Goddard Middle School National Junior Honor Society in Littleton spent a half day removing invasive weeds and making improvements to historic structures at Roxborough State Park. Volunteers covered approximately 7 acres of weed removal, pulling invasive thistle and mullein. They also trimmed back Gamble Oak from the parks historic Persse Place, a restored 1900's homestead, to help create a defensible fire space around the historic structures.
