This project was part of their "Legacy Day" to get kids interested and caring about volunteering in their communities. The juniors helped to finish a crusher fines trail that was washed out by flooding along the South Platte River, and were able to complete 158 feet. Successes and Challenges: Allison was not present, due to a family funeral. She made sure that everyone involved knew their role, had contact info, and timing for the day. She wrote out talking points for everyone involved. Lessons Learned: Special Notes: Stewardship Education: History of the park/flooding provided by park staff, and stewardship education provided by VOC staff. Key Concerns or Comments from Staff or Volunteers: Site was changed at the last minute.
