Start Date-End Date: 06/06/2015-06/07/2015 Land Manager Office: Land Manager Contact: Kevin Terry Funding Partner: Move Mountains Projects Programmatic Partner: Colorado Trout Unlimited Summary: Riparian restoration(Fence Construction and Willow Planting) Description: This was part of an ongoing project that is managed by Kevin Terry and Trout Unlimited to protect a riparian area along Jim Creek west of LaJara Reservoir by building a barbed wire fence exlcosure that keeps cattle out of the riparian and plant willows allong the banks of Jim Creek. This is a GOCO funding project, VOC was included in the propossed budget for $2,500. Volunteers helped TU plant willows and construct a fence barbed wire fence to protect Jim Creek and the adjacent riparian area near LaJara Reservoir. Successes and Challenges: Several groups backed out of this project before i finally found one to follow through.
