The original plan had been to do some light weeding, however, snow foiled these plans. Instead, we played some games to learn about the environment and how everything in an ecosystem is connected. We talked about invasive species, and the kids came up with ideas on how to encourage their peers to care for the environment. We then went on a short hike. Successes and Challenges: We didn't get to do the stewardship work, but the teachers at the Boys and Girls Club were pretty desperate to get their kids out. Kids were pretty squirelly, but overall I think they had a good time.
