The park had several volunteer leaders come out to help, and the kids were very excited. They worked for about 2 hours, and ate lunch in the Luca Homestead house, which was a very cool experience for them! Successes and Challenges: The particular parking lot that we were working out of did not have a restroom, so the busses had to drive a mile up the road to the next lot. This took away a lot of time for the project, and it would be advised to have a bathroom on site for any kid project. Lessons Learned: 3rd-6th graders LOVE weeding! A lot of exclamations of "this is the best field trip ever!"
