Description: 8th graders from Prospect Ridge Academy will come to St. Vrain State Park to help remove invasive species. The students helped to remove curly dock, musk and scotch thistle, flaxweed and sweet clover. The kids covered 4 acres of weeds. Successes and Challenges: St. Vrain just has no shade. Challenging with kids, but it was cool enough that they were OK. Lessons Learned: Special Notes: Stewardship Education: Provided by VOC staff earlier in the month at their school with a presentation on stewardship and VOC.
