The vegetables grown in these gardens will be donated to the Gathering Place, which is a drop-in center for women, children and transgenders experiencing poverty and homelessness. The kids from BGCMD had a lot of energy, and were excited to help plant (and for the Chipotle burritos). Successes and Challenges: Had some great conversations with kids about growing food. Weather was a bit spotty, but the project was short and we got all the work done.
