Latitude/Longitude: 39.6730 N, 104.9795 W Additional Information: Camping Available: No Physical Difficulty: Easy High Altitude Project: No Desired Number of Volunteers: 10 Total Adult Volunteers Attended: 2 Total Youth Volunteers Attended: 5 Total Volunteer Days: 7 Total Unique Volunteers: 7 Total Volunteer Hours: 14 Staff Hours: 3.5 Stipend Hours: 0 Project Summary: On Monday, October 2nd, 7 volunteers came out to Harvard Gulch Park with VOC and Grow Local Colorado to help with the final vegetable harvest of the season and to prepare the garden for winter. The weather was cloudy all day, and started downpouring right before the project started. This group powered on and harvested almost 150 lbs of food. After the work was complete, Chipotle donated delicious burritos for dinner. Successes and Challenges: Lessons Learned: Special Notes: * Typically this park is reserved for the "girl scout" group of Stanley British Primary school. They have disbaned this group, so moving forward it would be best to make this LARGE garden a public project with the option for the few girls who do stuff together havean early group registration option as they have been working on this garden for the last couple years. They just don't have enough to fill the project on their own.
