Project Summary:
On February 24th Cairn headed out to Roxborough State Park, the site they chose for their final project in April. The group was split into three groups- Crew Leaders, Marketing, and Environmental Education and Sustainability.
The Crew Leader Group received part 1:2 crew leader training from Dan Williams. While the Education/Sustainability and the Marketing/Recruitment groups spent time with an Interpreter from the park, and visiting the Visitor Center to help them in developing their materials for project promotion.
After lunch we did a team building hike on the South Rim Trail before heading back to VOC.
Successes and Challenges:

Special Notes:
Stewardship Education: We had a wonderful Volunteer Naturalist from the park who lead a guided hike with the marketing and educational groups. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and wildlife ecology of the park. He helped answer all the questions the students might have about the importance of the work they would be doing in April.
