Description: Red Bear community group volunteers worked for 3 hours to remove expired verbenone packets from ponderosa pine trees at three campgrounds in Conejos Canyon.Aspen Glade, River Springs and Mogote CGs. Several hundred packets were removed and thrown out and more trashed was collected along the way as well.

Project Summary: Red Bear Group Verbenone Packet Removal - May 8 - led a morning of service at three campo areas in the Conejos Canyon with the red Bear Community group to remove expired verbeone packets off of trees and collect other trash to clean up the areas. 18 adults; 54 hours; $1333.26 value. The group had a fantastic time and they are hoping to do weekly service projects all summer in the Conejos Canyon!
