Come help us prep the newest natural area, Shurview, for public use by picking up debris from the 2005 tornado and trash. Latitude/Longitude: Additional Information: Camping Available: No Physical Difficulty: High Altitude Project: Desired Number of Volunteers: 20 Total Adult Volunteers Attended: 6 Total Youth Volunteers Attended: 4 Total Volunteer Days: 10 Total Unique Volunteers: 10 Total Volunteer Hours: 100 Staff Hours: 16 Stipend Hours: 0 Project Summary: A small, but mighty, and might wonderful crew of volunteers came out to focus on tornado debris pick up. Successes and Challenges: We had three adults bring their kids, which was a seconday/tertiary goal of this project. The avenues I thought would work for family recruitment (B&GC, the Community Center, etc) didn't work at all, but advertising the project as family friendly did! Everyone on site was very interested in getting out to Shurview and in being involved as it develops! They will be great resources to loop into community engagement efforts Greeley is doing around the new property.
