The upper crew continued their rock wall while the lower crew honed in on shutting off social trails. The lower crew built 100 feet of new trail to help with water runoff. It was a bit warmer on this day, so we ended a little early again. Crew was full of new volunteers and they all seemed to enjoy the project a lot as it gave a variety of work. Successes and Challenges: The heat was again a challenge. We also had an injury due to rock work. Lessons Learned: Special Notes: Stewardship Education: Key Concerns or Comments from Staff or Volunteers: Protocol for moving rocks and where to be. Volunteers were below rock when moving it which led to injury. Description of Accidents/Incidents: Two volunteers were moving a rock down a steep slope towards the trail. Approximately 3 feet from the trail they lost their footing and control of the rock. The rock rolled over both of them. If more information is needed about the incident, please ask the director of finance. Description of Work Completed:
